Core Values

BE BRILLIANT AT THE BASICS

Being brilliant means having or exercising great intelligence, talent and quality. The basics are the regular daily functions that make something work.

ALWAYS EXERCISE CANDOR

Effective communication is the key to all relationships, whether they are of a personal or business nature.  When exercising candor, a person’s communication is open and sincere, portraying both depth of feeling and an understanding of the situation being discussed.

BE A PROUD, PROFESSIONAL AND NEVER BETTER THAN SWEEPING UP

A proud professional is one who emanates self-respect and self-esteem, acting with dignity and confidence while displaying excellence in his/her learned profession. Never “being better than sweeping up” is a simple adage to show being humbled by every experience and to never place yourself “above” a task.

BE A PASSIONATE TEAM PLAYER

A passionate team player displays a willingness to work with and help others, an ability to learn from experiences while showing intense feelings for the business practice.

DON’T JUST GO THROUGH THE MOTIONS. MAKE IT HAPPEN

Completing an action correctly and well requires attention and a commitment to excellence. Commit to completing an action with intent and passion and it will never be regular and mundane.

ALWAYS LIVE ABOVE THE LINE, AND NEVER FEAR “I’M SORRY”

An ‘Above the Line’ player is a person who possesses the ability to willingly accept responsibility, to commit to the responsibility accepted and to carry out those actions in a positive way. Playing above the line also means admitting mistakes made without blaming others or offering excuses while accepting criticism offered to correct the mistakes and any consequences that follow saying “I’m sorry”.

DON’T OFFER EXCUSES, OFFER COMPENSATION

When encountering difficulties, take the time to understand and embrace the problem. Excuses are simply explanations with the hope of being understood or forgiven with no solution offered – thereby making the obstacle someone else problem. Compensation should “ease the others pain”, and be well communicated with the solution.

THINK LIKE AN ENTREPRENEUR

An entrepreneur is one who organizes and manages any form of business, usually with much initiative and risk. Entrepreneurs engage in productive labour and show “hyper-organization” of personal and professional tasks.

BE PREPARED AND ON TIME – EVERYTIME!

Preparation is the key to success. A prepared person is extensively educated for the task at hand, knows what to expect, is well-organized, fully equipped and delivers this knowledge or service by the deadline with no excuses.
